Yes- I have been although it has been a few years. I am a former teacher of several students who attended. If you can get lapel pins- there is a HUGE pin exchange that goes on during the fair. As I recall- we brought several hundred with us. It is great to get pins from students from all over the world. Usually, your local district or chamber of commerce can help you with that. There are also numerous activities scheduled for students. It really is an amazing experience.

Yes! My daughter went to Albuquerque in '07 and Atlanta in '08, my son is going this year.

This will be a once in a lifetime experience for you. I guarantee you will have someone from a different country on one side of you or across from you. My daughter had a girl from Pakistan that made paper from chicken feathers! I spent several evenings talking to some wonderful gentlemen from Saudi Arabia and Lebanon plus a couple of beautiful ladies from Argentina.

I've been a grand award judge for the past three years. It's a fascinating experience to talk to these dedicated young people.
You will be doing a lot of walking and standing on your feet, so wear comfortable shows!
