There are several options to travel from San Francisco or San Jose International Airports to your Intel ISEF hotels. Please see below for available options. PLEASE NOTE: We are providing information about public transportation and taxis for your convenience. We are not responsible for any changes to schedules. Please also use caution if using the public transportation late at night. INTEL ISEF SHUTTLE In order to utilize the Intel ISEF San Jose sponsored airport shuttle you must request this service using the Travel Information Form on the SSP website. You will find the Travel Information Form after you click to Login to Register Your Official Party on the following Intel ISEF web page: http://www.societyforscience.org/isef/affiliatedfairs. It is a separate form that you must complete. Transportation through Intel ISEF on their Shuttles must be booked in advance. You can not arrive at the airport and decide to take the shuttle. Arrival Shuttle Schedule for for the San Jose (SJC) and San Francisco (SFO) airports: Saturday, May 8, 2010: 7:00AM – 11:30PM Departure Shuttle Schedule for for the San Jose (SJC) and San Francisco (SFO) airports: Friday, May 14, 2010: Shuttles will leave at 1:00PM*, 2:00PM, 4:00PM, 6:00PM * The 1:00PM shuttle going back to the airports on Friday, May 14 will depart directly from San Jose State after the Awards Ceremony. All other times will depart from the Official Intel ISEF San Jose hotels. TAXI CAB Prices listed below are averages. Please note, prices will vary based on traffic conditions. LIGHT RAIL FROM THE SANJOSE AIRPORT ***Outside the terminal you will need to catch Bus #10- METRO LIGHT RAIL. You then take about a 10 minute bus ride to the Metro/ Airport Light Rail Station (across the street from where the bus stop is). Once at the Light Rail Station you will need to buy a ticket (approx $2 per passenger). For the:
The Metro/Airport is your stop. You are within walking distance of the hotel after the bus ride. You do not need to enter the Light Rail Station. For the following hotels, you need to catch a SOUTH bound train. NOTE - The light rail stop is listed next to the hotel.

FREE HOTEL SHUTTLE For guests with reservations at The Double Tree Hotel and arriving outside the Intel ISEF shuttle hours, the hotel provides a free airport on-demand shuttle from the hours of 4:30am – 12:00am. Please call the hotel once you have received your baggage and the shuttle will arrive within 15 minutes. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FROM SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORTIf you choose to take public transportation from the San Francisco Airport to your San Jose Hotel, you will need to take a shuttle to a BART train, to a Caltrain and transfer to the Light Rail System. The cost is approximately $12.00 per person. Tickets are purchased at the stations, but please have cash available to use the automatic ticket machines. Not all stations have staffed ticket booth, and ticket booth hours of operation vary. Prices are subject to change. Schedules of Operations Below are the hours of operation for BART, Caltrain and Light Rail. Please check schedules when determining what type of transportation to take. All times and schedules are subject to change BART Caltrain Light Rail System Light Rail operates on 15, 30 and 60 minute frequencies depending on time of day from 4:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on the Alum Rock-Santa Teresa Line and 5 a.m. to 12 midnight on the Mountain View-Winchester Line. Step 1 - BART The SFO BART Station is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal (Boarding Area G side). BART is easily accessed from any terminal by riding SFO's AirTrain to the Garage G/BART Station stop. AirTrain stations are located in all terminals, terminal garages and the BART Station, as well as the Rental Car Center. See the AirTrain System Map for details. Take the BART Train to the Millbrae Caltrain Station (this is approximately a 10-15 minute trip and will cost approximately $4.00 per person. You may check the BART schedule here. Use the links at the top "Plan a trip" Step 2 - CONNECT TO THE CALTRAIN FROM BART BART connects SFO to the Caltrain rail system at the Millbrae Station. At the Millbrae station transfer from BART to Caltrain. You need to catch a SOUTH bound train. You will take the train to the San Jose Diridon Station. Here you will be able to transfer to the Light Rail Train. To view Caltrain schedules please visit www.caltrain.com. The train fair will be approximately $6.00 per person Step 3 - CONNECT TO LIGHT RAIL FROM CALTRAIN At the San Jose Diridon Caltrain station, transfer to the Light Rail Station. Take the NORTH BOUND Light Rail Train, Mt. View-Winchester Line. Take this train to your hotel's stop. The following hotels are listed with their light rail stop.
